MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of The IgniHer Lab is to fight negative stereotypes against women in the STEM industry. We resolve to fix this problem by providing a safe space for young girls to develop interest and skill for STEM.

BACKGROUND
In 2021, it was reported that 65% of the people employed in STEM occupations were male. Only 35% percent of the people were female. From childhood, boys were encouraged to take on STEM career paths while girls have never received the same support. The girls who manage to go on without the support face sexist stereotypes in STEM workplaces. Often, women report being dismissed, talked over, and ignored because women are seen as 'less fit' for STEM-related careers
OUR PLAN
We believe that the solution is to provide the same opportunities and support that boys receive to girls. With early exposure, we seek to 'ignite' a passion for STEM. Our labs are designed to be unique, engaging, hands on, yet challenging. We seek to provide a service that is challenging in a way that builds resilience and passion. The IgniHer Lab takes a unique approach to solving the problem - igniting a flame of passion that cannot be put out by stereotypes, harassment, or other setbacks. The IgniHer lab aspires to nurture future doctors, engineers, pharmacists, and more!
